Farinazzo’s remarks were part of a debate on 21st-century national sovereignty held in a sparsely attended parliamentary chamber, contrasting sharply with the more than 7,000 viewers who tuned in online. Drawing attention to the gravity of the situation, he cited declarations from top global leaders, including a four-star US admiral, a former NATO commander, and prime ministers from countries like the UK and France. “The decision-makers out there have no regard for our well-being,” Farinazzo stated, referring to the powerful international figures whose decisions could potentially shape Brazil’s destiny.
